So, the most awaited phone of the year has been launched on the 10th of Sept.
Well, Apple has launched three new phones this year i.e., iPhone 11 which is the successor of iPhone Xr, iPhone 11 pro which is the successor of iPhone Xs, iPhone 11 pro max which is the successor of iPhone Xs max.
Like iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs max, there is not much difference between iPhone 11 pro and iPhone 11 pro max. The only difference between these two phones is the screen size, screen resolution, and battery.
Both iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro max comes in 3 variants 64 Gb,256 Gb, and 512 Gb. And the only RAM option available in these phones is 4Gb.
Let’s come to specification and review: –
LOOKS AND DESIGN
- Starting with the front, it looks exactly same to its elder siblings iPhone X and iPhone Xs.
A big notch along with some sensors and front camera.
- Coming to the rear side, here we can find some difference in the new iPhone 11 Series.
It has got a very awkward triple camera setup along with a quad tone flash.
And the Apple logo has been shifted to the center of the rear side.
Lots of people are criticizing this design.
- These phones are available in Space Gray, Silver, Gold, and a new color Midnight Green.
BODY
- The Dimensions of iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro max are 144 x 71.4 x 8.1 mm and 158 x 77.8 x 8.1 mm respectively.
- Weight of iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro max are 188 g and 226 g respectively.
226 g is a little bit heavy.
- Both the phones come with Front/Backglass, stainless steel frame.
- Both phones are dual sim (one nano sim and one e-sim).
- These are IP68 dust/water resistant up to 4m for 30 mins.
DISPLAY
- Both the phones iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro max come with Super Retina XDR OLED capacitive touchscreen.
- Size of the display of iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro max are 5.8 and 6.5 inches with a resolution of 1125 x 2436 and 1242 x 2688 pixels respectively.
- Apple has included Dolby Vision display, HDR10, wide color gamut, True-tone, 120 Hz touch-sensing kinds of display.
PLATFORM
- It is now with all new iOS 13 based on Apple A13 Bionic (7 nm) which makes it faster than earlier iPhones.
MEMORY
- As usual, it has no SD card slot.
- As discussed earlier, it comes with 4Gb of RAM and 64Gb, 256Gb, 512Gb internal memory.
REAR CAMERA
- Well when it comes to the camera, it comes with triple camera set up aligned in somewhat triangular shape.
- First camera comes with 12 MP with f/1.8 aperture with PDAF focus and OIS.
- Second camera is of also 12 MP and it is a telephoto lens with f/2.0 aperture, OIS and 2x optical zoom.
There is no change in these two cameras.
- Here’s an improved thing is added, it is a 12 MP ultrawide camera with f/2.4 aperture
- It has Quad-LED dual-tone flash, HDR.
- Come to the videography, it can record 4K video up to 60 fps, 1080p up to 120 fps, HDR recording with stereo sound.
FRONT CAMERA
- When it comes selfie camera it is also a very important part to all of us.
It has a 12 MP camera with f/2.2 aperture and a TOF 3D camera which is a new thing
- Its front camera can also shoot 4K video up to 60fps and 1080p up to 120fps with gyro-EIS.
With EIS its front camera has become more stable.
SOUND
- It does not have a 3.5mm Jack. So, the adapter is needed.
- It has now Dolby atmos and Dolby digital plus supported speakers.
- It also has an Active noise cancellation with dedicated mic.
COMMUNICATION
- It has a common Wi-fi 802.11 with dual-band frequency which is pretty common in any phone.
- Bluetooth Version 5.0 is given with it.
- It supports NFC too.
- It has USB 2.0, proprietary reversible connector.
SENSORS
- Again there is no fingerprint in this phone, well buying a phone worth of almost 1 Lac rupees not getting a fingerprint sensor is not a good thing.
- It comes with 3D face ID which is also used as a security option to do payments.
- All the remaining sensors are present in these phones.
BATTERY
- Apple has said that you will get 4 hours more battery than iPhone Xs in iPhone 11 Pro and 5 hours more battery than iPhone Xs max in iPhone 11 pro max.
- However, 11 pro has 3190 mAh battery and 11 pro max has 3500 mAh only.
- It now comes with an 18-watt fast charger in the box which is a new thing for Apple.
VERDICT
Well coming to my verdict, Apple has its own fan following. Everyone knows that Apple is so much over-priced. It more about 25,000 rupees more than the USA in India, this is too much.
It is expected to be launched at 99,900 rupees for 11 pro and 1,09,900 rupees for 11 pro max.
This year Apple has improved version of iPhones, there is nothing like innovative in these phones.
They have just upgraded the camera and processor and nothing more. Apple takes a year to launch phones still there’s nothing innovative this year which was unexpected.
If you have a limited amount of money to spend on the phone, think twice before buying 11 pro or 11 pro max.
